Novolex, a packaging solutions manufacturer, has announced a strategic investment in US-based reusable systems and container brand OZZI.

This move is set to bolster the growth of OZZI through the support of Eco-Products, a Novolex business unit known for its circular solutions in the foodservice industry.

OZZI’s product range includes the O2GO line of containers, cups, and cutlery, as well as the Drop N’Go Collection System and Automated Collection Machine.

These products are complemented by other equipment to support the full life cycle of reusables, from washing and sanitising to drying and storage.

The O2GO containers are notable for their durability, having been third-party tested for more than 1,000 washes.

OZZI’s unique container collection and tracking system is enhanced by barcode technology on the O2GO containers, which allows for seamless integration with meal plan systems.

The system is compatible with major campus meal plan platforms such as Atrium and CBORD.

OZZI recently announced a partnership with Atrium, enabling its systems to connect with various campus dining platforms, including GrubHub and Everyday by Sodexo.

The collaboration is expected to further extend OZZI’s reach in the market.

Eco-Products president Ian Jacobson said: “We view reusable packaging as a critical offering in the range of sustainable packaging choices available to the market.

“We have been impressed by OZZI’s ability to support industry-leading levels of reuse, and are excited to combine their technology with the Zero Waste expertise of the Eco-Products sales organisation.”

With this investment, UK-based Vegware, a sister company of Eco-Products, and the Eco-Products divisions in Canada and Europe will have access to the entire range of OZZI products and solutions to address global demand.

Jacobson will also join OZZI’s board of directors.
