Plastic packaging developer Promens has introduced the new SmartCan packaging solution for the chemical packaging industry.
The closure includes an EPE washer for safe sealing, and features venting membranes that are designed to stabilise pressure in the container to allow exchange of gas and provide a barrier against bacterial infection. The indented grip at the base of the can facilitates handling and pouring.
The can features a square profile with no handle and cap protrusion. The can has a 180° stack ability. Defined corner ribs provide strength and stability for stacking, which allows for a reduction in overall weight and unnecessary wall thickness.
The company has designed the can’s top and bottom area in such a way that it protects the large side panels for labeling. The conical design of the DIN61mm neck protects the cap from contact with other containers and also allows for optimised emptying.
The closure has been re-designed for better ergonomics, aesthetic appeal and comfortable grip besides the tamper evident ring. SmartCan is available in 10l, 12.5l, 20l and 25l sizes.
