Sustainable dining and food packaging solutions provider Duni Group has announced its acquisition of a majority stake in German reuse company Relevo.
The move, which increases Duni’s ownership from 24.51% to 50.02%, aims to bolster its food packaging business and offer circular solutions to customers for various occasions.
Duni initially acquired its minority stake in the company in 2021.
Based in Munich, Relevo provides tech-enabled system solutions for reusables to catering and restaurant businesses.
Following this transaction, Duni will offer Relevo as a separate brand, as part of its reuse offering.
The brand will offer a range of products, including tableware, software, and system solutions.

Duni president and CEO Robert Dackeskog said: “We want to give more than we take from the planet. Duni Group therefore wants to join forces with Relevo to provide solutions that leave behind as little waste as possible.
“This means that we want to care, not only for the start-of-life of a product, but also for the end-of-life of a product, by providing a software to secure low emissions and promote rotable solutions”.
Launched in 2020, Relevo offers comprehensive reusable solutions for the takeaway food and beverages market.
Relevo founder and managing director Gregor Kolb said: “We are proud to be part of Duni Group, to pursue our shared vision of a circular and environmentally friendly takeaway experience.
“Given the numerous synergies in commercial operations and potential in international market access, we look forward to an exciting collaboration to further develop and grow this sustainable reuse solution.”
