PulPac, a technology provider specialising in sustainable packaging, has entered into a collaboration with Danish premium confectionery brand LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW to develop eco-friendly packaging alternatives.
The initiative will utilise PulPac’s Dry Molded Fiber (DMF) technology and aims to meet the increasing consumer demand for sustainability in the confectionery sector.
Additionally, this partnership is supported by the multidisciplinary design studio Office of Possibilities (OP), which is tasked with transforming new ideas into practical designs that enhance the customer experience.
PulPac CCO Sanna Fager said: “By combining PulPac’s expertise in Dry Molded Fiber technology with OP’s design capabilities and LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW´s passion for excellence, we hope to see concrete results of the collaboration in the near future.”
According to PulPac, DMF is a manufacturing technology that produces sustainable packaging using renewable fibres derived from responsibly managed forests.
The process is reportedly cost-competitive, resource-efficient, and significantly reduces environmental footprint compared to plastic and other fibre-based alternatives.
