Indian manufacturer Hamdard Laboratories’ food division has partnered with SIG to adopt its aseptic carton packaging and filling technologies.
This move is aimed at addressing the diverse and evolving consumer product packaging demands for affordability, appropriate sizing, durability, and convenience.
The collaboration will see the installation of an SIG XSlim 24 Aseptic filling machine at Hamdard’s Aurangabad manufacturing facility in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
The SIG filling machine reportedly boasts a capacity of 24,000 carton packs per hour and can accommodate nine different volume sizes, from 80ml to 200ml.
Its design allows for rapid size changes in under 15 minutes, providing Hamdard with the ability to swiftly adapt to market needs.
SIG India and Bangladesh market head Vandana Tandan said: “Hamdard is one of the most celebrated beverage brands in India and SIG is excited to partner with them. The partnership will be beneficial for both SIG and Hamdard to grow their presence across India.”
