Packaging solutions provider Coveris has introduced a new sustainable hot-to-go packaging range, designed to meet the increasing demand for convenient, hot-food options.
The new fibre-based packaging aims to minimise waste with its recyclable features, allowing consumers to heat, eat, and dispose of the food and packaging responsibly.
The HEAT packs are made from a unique fibre-composite, dual-ovenable printed board that enables a variety of hot-to-go products to be cooked, displayed, and consumed directly from the pack.
This offers a no-touch, efficient solution for retailers and a convenient option for consumers.
Major retailers such as Pret a Manger, Greggs, and Morrisons have invested in hot-food infrastructure.
In line with Coveris’ commitment to waste reduction, the HEAT packs are designed to retain heat and provide protection without the need for additional wrapping.

The packaging has already been adopted for chicken nuggets and jalapeño cheese poppers, with availability at hot-food counters across various convenience retail and forecourt locations.
The hot-eat segment, which includes products such as pastries, wraps, and pizzas, is rapidly growing due to consumer trends towards premiumisation, experimentation, and convenience.
