Film manufacturer SÜDPACK will highlight its commitment to sustainable packaging solutions at the upcoming FACHPACK trade show in Nuremberg, Germany.
The company said it will unveil new products and services designed to help businesses create greener, more profitable packaging processes.
A key focus for SÜDPACK is its Pure-Line range of recyclable, single-material films made from polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE).
These films boast a smaller carbon footprint than traditional options while maintaining product quality and safety.
Applications of these films span from thermoformed packaging and trays to pouches for various food products.
The company is also introducing a PP-based solution for coffee stand-up pouches, which it claims reduces carbon footprint by more than 30% compared to polyethylene terephthalate (PET)/aluminium composites.

By GlobalDataOther innovations include the (Multi-)Peel PET floatable solution for easier recycling and the Multifol Extreme film, offering a 30% thinner alternative to conventional polyamide/PE structures without compromising performance.
SÜDPACK is expanding its product range beyond films.
Recyclable monomaterials for stand-up pouches with or without reclose systems are now available for nuts, snacks, spices, and other dry goods.
The company is also partnering with SN Maschinenbau and MENSHEN to offer complete in-house production solutions for spouted pouches.
To support customers in their sustainability journey, SÜDPACK has also developed the EcoTrace life cycle assessment (LCA) tool, which assesses the environmental impact of packaging solutions throughout their life cycle.
The company has also achieved International Organization for Standardization 14040/44 certifications for its Flow Pack PurePP films.
SÜDPACK is actively driving the circular economy by investing in chemical recycling technology through its majority stake in CARBOLIQ.
This process converts plastic waste into a mineral oil substitute, which can be used to create new films.
Visitors to the SÜDPACK booth at FACHPACK will have the opportunity to learn more about these sustainable packaging solutions and discuss potential collaborations.
