Harpak-ULMA, a provider of smart, connected packaging solutions, has entered into a strategic distribution agreement with Cabinplant for multihead fixed-weight packaging solutions.

The agreement is intended for the distribution of these packaging solutions across the US and Canada.

The collaboration aims to integrate Cabinplant’s capabilities with Harpak-ULMA’s existing services and national support network, creating an extensive portfolio of automated food packaging solutions.

This agreement broadens the automation and packaging options available to Harpak-ULMA’s markets.

North American customers of Cabinplant will gain access to integrated Harpak-ULMA packaging platforms, along with additional services, including package design, training through the Harpak-ULMA Academy, OEE monitoring, and an expansive support and parts supply operation.

Cabinplant’s solutions will be integrated for plug-and-play connectivity with Harpak-ULMA’s automation and packaging platforms, aligning with the company’s commitment to smart, connected packaging solutions.

This integration facilitates real-time visibility in packaging processes and drives production performance improvements through advanced manufacturing software applications.

Harpak-ULMA CEO Kevin Roach said: “Expanding our solution footprint to embrace more units of production for a customer makes a lot of sense because it lifts the burden of interoperability from the buyer.

“A single, automated pre-integrated solution reduces the risk and time typically associated with patching together technology from multiple vendors.

“Not only that, but it also eliminates on-site testing iterations, improves machine performance, simplifies diagnostics, and streamlines the entire planning, install and startup process to deliver optimised production sooner.”
