Cosmo Films has launched a new range of overwrap films, including high shrink tight wrap, medium shrink, general overwrap and cable overwrap films for various applications.
The new heat sealable biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) based films can be used as protective packaging due to their moisture barrier function. They also improve pack optics providing clarity and wrinkle-free appearance to the product.
Cosmo Films Label Films Exports head Kapil Anand said: “Though we mostly cater to food and beverage industry through our range of products, we are now glad to be offering products for tobacco industry as well.
“Apart from the primary benefit of moisture barrier, high shrink film’s shrink ability enables tight wrapping of the cigarette packs that comes in handy for their easy dispensing from the vending machines.”
Cosmo’s new high shrink tight wrap films offer shrinkage values in a range of 9% to 11% and can be used to pack individual cigarette packets.
Offering shrinkage in a range of 4% to 6%, the medium shrink films can be used to pack individual cartons, while the general overwrap films are used for general purpose printing, pouching and packaging and will cater to snacks, bakery products, IV fluids overwraps and textile & hosiery market segments.
