UK-based Yarza Twins has partnered with Hewlett-Packard (HP) to use the new HP SmartStream D4D technology to create vodka brand Smirnoff’s new limited edition bottle.
The personalised bottle packaging is based on the concept of diversity.
The SmartStream D4D technology is a simplified version of HP SmartStream Designer used for Adobe Illustrator CC2018 and is designed to enable generation of variable data with a single click.
With HP Indigo digital press, the firm used seven colours, including CMYK, Orange, purple and green, to cover approximately 90% of the Pantone colour range.
According to Yarza Twins, HP SmartStream D4D allowed production of several unique designs for the bottles from one artwork.
HP brand innovation global head Nancy Janes said: “Digital print has the ability to make packaging and print more agile and limitless, but until now, there has been a gap between concept and creation.
