Plastic packaging solutions provider Graham Packaging has unveiled its plans to invest $6.7m to expand its manufacturing operation in Campbell County, Virginia, US.
Graham Packaging is engaged in the design, sale, and manufacture of value-added, custom blow-moulded plastic containers for foods and beverages, personal care and speciality products, household goods, chemical-based solutions, and automotive lubricants.
The company uses design, engineering, and technology to develop bespoke packaging for its customers.
The project is expected to create eight new jobs while training 37 existing employees to operate the next technology.
Graham Packaging plant manager William Campbell said: “Graham Packaging chose to expand in the Commonwealth of Virginia because we already had a foundation in the Altavista area with a skilled workforce and an established customer base who has been seeing rising demand.”
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is expected to provide support for Graham Packaging’s new job creation and job retraining through its Virginia Jobs Investment Programme (VJIP).
