Valmet has secured a contract to supply a warp control system to Stora Enso Packaging’s corrugated board plant in Ostroleka, Poland.
The system is expected to improve the corrugated board plant’s overall performance, as well as decrease the final product’s warp.
Stora Enso provides renewable solutions in packaging, biomaterials, wood, and paper, serving clients in packaging, joinery and construction industries, as well as publishers, printing houses and paper merchants.
Valmet intends to deliver the system later this year.
Although the contract’s financial terms of the contract have not been revealed, the company indicated that the order is less than €1m.
Valmet automation sales manager Juha Mykkänen said: “Due to the positive experiences and results gained from earlier deliveries, Stora Enso decided to choose Valmet as the supplier of the automatic warp control system for its corrugators.”
