Cannabinoid manufacturer Spirulinex has launched new packaging for its Dragonglass Flake and Bake.

Designed by Joel Ryan Brandon, the new packaging conforms to US state California’s recently announced packaging regulations for cannabis and related products.

“It was important to us that the design of our package reflects the purity and euphoria of the product, without falling into a typical design scheme.”

Spirulinex co-founder Ali Jamalian said: “Amidst the challenges surrounding California’s new cannabis packaging compliance directives, we at Spirulinex immediately sought to re-invent the packaging for Dragonglass in a way that was 100% compliant and child-proof, while communicating the attributes of a product that has never existed before.”

The packaging design serves as a product differentiator and reflects various aspects of the Dragonglass Flake and Bake product, which is a sublingual and edible flake.

It combines icons, informational panels, a pamphlet, and calls to action to deliver high-impact messaging.

Brandon said: “We want you to know what you are in for when you pick up the package, thus the CBD-only packaging is predominantly orange, whereas the THC version is predominantly green.”

Dragonglass, which is made using superfood, is based on a method of producing water-based edibles that do not contain sugar, fat, alcohol, and synthetics.

It is intended to cater to customers asking for a health-and-wellness cannabis product that can be consumed orally.

The company is planning to deliver the product throughout California, and then expand to the entire US market.

Jamalian said: “It was important to us that the design of our package reflects the purity and euphoria of the product, without falling into a typical design scheme.”

The product, in its new packaging, will be available in 100mg THC and 100mg CBD versions across California.
