
Hook and loop fastening system specialist APLIX has received accreditation for the Easy-Lock by APLIX closure system under the Trex Recycling Program.
The Easy-Lock by APLIX closure system contains a 100% low-density polyethylene (LDPE) resin, which offers recycling opportunities in the packaging industry.
As part of its sustainability drive, APLIX is focused on incorporating biodegradable and natural resources into its products and processes.
The company has also joined the Corporate Social Responsibility Program (ISO 26000) to reduce its environmental impact and increase the scope of its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
APLIX global sales and marketing vice-president Quresh Sachee said: “We have implemented sustainable strategies within our processes to develop ecofriendly and recyclable fastening solutions. The Trex accreditation demonstrates this commitment to our community and environment.”

Developed for flexible packaging, the Easy-Lock by APLIX closure system is expected to offer consumers an easier solution to reclosing packages.
The closure system is equipped with enhanced sensory features, which provide audible and tactile feedback when opening and closing, offering assurance to consumers regarding the freshness of their products.
The company also offers re-close solutions for all bag sizes, EASY-LOCK TOUCH for bags with a weight of less than 1kg and EASY-LOCK TOUCH+ designed for heavy bags (greater than 1kg).
APLIX operates six plants in the US, France, Brazil and China.
Its product offering includes textile, plastic and stretch products, as well as converting and coating products.
