By GlobalDataManufactured using a high-speed flow wrap technology, the material of the wrapper is already widely recycled in the countries where the snack is set to launch.
The paper used for the packaging originates from sustainable sources, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification.
Nestlé marketing and sales strategic business units head Patrice Bula said: “Consumers are looking for more natural and sustainable options when they choose a snack, both in terms of ingredients and packaging.
“Our YES! bars are made with wholesome ingredients that celebrate and care for nature’s diversity. We are now relaunching them carefully wrapped in paper, making the packaging easy to recycle and avoiding plastic waste.”
The company is introducing YES! snack bars with the new paper wrapper and a wider range of flavours in several countries throughout Europe.
Nestlé is also planning to extend the product’s availability to additional countries in Europe and beyond in the future.
Currently available flavours of YES! snack bars include dark chocolate, sea salt and almond, dark chocolate, banana and pecan, as well as raspberry and chia seeds.
