By GlobalDataUnder the deal, the Berry Global Group subsidiary will replace the round container packaging of Carioca’s 48 Jumbo felt-tip pens with the introduction of a square container from its UniPak pail standard range.
Developed using in-mould labelling, the packaging firm created colourful decorations that has a scratch-resistant graphic image on the pail.
It also used a clear foil wrapped around the pail, offering the product internal protection and the customers greater convenience.
Carioca marketing director Dr Giorgio Bertolo said: “The Israeli Market was new for Carioca and our local competitor uses a round pail for a similar product.
“So to be more attractive, we decided to try out the square shape. We are pleased with the UniPak pail.
“It appears to be the best solution on the market in terms of price and quality and the feedback we have received from retail and end-users is positive.”
In addition, the packaging firm has introduced a round injection-moulded UniPak pail with a lid and a red handle, replacing the current packaging of Carioca’s products offered in Italy.
According to the company, the UniPak pails are manufactured using mono-material polypropylene and are 100% recyclable, contributing to a circular economy.
Bertolo added: “The round UniPak pail which we now use on the domestic market meets our needs as it has the perfect height and diameter and can contain exactly 100 felt-tip pens.
“All in all, both new solutions for the Italian and the Israeli markets respectively represent a refreshing renewal of the look of our packaging and we are satisfied with the result.”
On 1 July, Berry Global Group completed its acquisition of RPC Group for approximately $6.5bn.
