US-based sustainable packaging provider Ranpak has launched its fully automated end-of-line solution, AutoFill, in North America.
The advanced packaging solution is equipped with smart sensors that can scan the package and dispense the required amount of paper for shipping depending on the box size and object volume.
AutoFill also features a case sealer to close and seal boxes.
Ranpak claims its solution minimises shipping damage and improves paper consumption, ultimately reducing costs by up to 20%.
It is also said to increase capacity and reduce labour costs during the packaging process.
Ranpak chairman and CEO Omar Asali said: “AutoFill is Ranpak’s latest innovation in packaging automation and aligns with our commitment to deliver operational efficiencies, cost savings and sustainability benefits to our customers.

The solution is designed to process up to 1,200 boxes an hour and can support customers across distribution, e-commerce and fulfilment operations.
Ranpak provides environmentally friendly paper-based packaging solutions for e-commerce and industrial supply chains.
In March, the company launched the PadPak Auto-Coiler, an on-demand paper-based heavy cushioning solution, in North America.
The device creates a paper-based cushioning solution designed to act as an alternative to foam and plastic cushioning.
The solution is designed for heavy, dense or high-value products that can be harder to ship, including industrial manufacturing, home furnishing, medical and automotive products.
Earlier this year, all of Ranpak’s European manufacturing facilities were given Chain of Custody certification by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
