Figures show that the number of new cloud roles being advertised by these companies has increased in recent months – with firms across the industry looking to expand their capabilities. The number of newly advertised roles stood at 286 in Q1 2021. That’s a 28% rise from 223 in Q4 2020 and 21% up from 237 in Q3 2020.

Looking across key packaging companies tracked by GlobalData, the US is currently seeing the largest number of cloud job ads. Last quarter, the country saw 249 advertisements - up from 187 in Q4 2020 and 214 in Q3 2020.
On a city level, Broomfield had the most newly advertised cloud roles in Q1 2021 with 82, followed by Fairborn, with 38, and Lafayette, with 38.
Where is seeing the most growth for cloud roles in packaging?
The US is also the biggest growth area - which saw the 43 adverts recorded in Q4 2020, leap to 249 in Q1 2021 - a near six-fold increase.
In terms of cities, firms are increasing cloud hires in The Netherlands' Oegstgeest - with five roles in the latest quarter - up from zero in the previous one.
