US-based rigid packaging supplier Crown has chosen Mesquite, Nevada, as the location for an aluminium beverage can manufacturing facility.
The two-line facility will manufacture both standard and speciality beverage cans for the company’s clients.
The 355,000ft² plant will be located in the Mesquite Technology and Commerce Centre and is expected to create 126 jobs.
It will expand Crown’s operations in North America and cater to its existing customers in the Western US, as well as supporting the company in introducing new beverage products in aluminium cans.
The facility is scheduled to start operations in the second quarter of 2023.
Crown Holdings president and CEO Timothy Donahue said: “This investment, underpinned by long-term customer contracts, continues to demonstrate Crown’s commitment to meet the increased demand for aluminium beverage cans.
