US-based packaging and material science company ProAmpac has acquired packaging manufacturer Specialty Packaging for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Specialty Packaging produces paper, film, foil bags, sandwich wraps, basket liners and other custom products for the fast food and foodservice industries.
The company owns an advanced 100,000ft² facility where it produces custom and stock products.
The acquisition is intended to allow ProAmpac to add to its customised, recyclable food packaging solutions and expand its footprint into the US’ south-western region.
It will also help increase the company’s manufacturing capabilities and paper bag converting capacity.
ProAmpac founder and CEO Greg Tucker said: “Specialty Packaging has a very complementary offering of high-quality products and a proven commitment to customer service.
