The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 9.07% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.85% share in May 2022, recording an increase of 0.15% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 9.93% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s packaging industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
Ball posted 89 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a drop of 1.11% over the previous month, followed by Carrier Global with 55 jobs and a 41.03% growth. Nestle with 47 IT jobs and PepsiCo with 46 jobs, recorded a 42.68% decline and a 53.33% growth, respectively, while Amcor recorded a decline of 42.62% with 35 job postings during May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.9%, down by 20.77% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.27% share, registered an increase of 5.42% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.84% share, down 10.5% over April 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.98%, recording a month-on-month increase of 38.46%.
