US-based foodservice equipment firm The Middleby Corporation has acquired CP Packaging, a company that develops high-speed vacuum packaging equipment.
Based in Appleton, Wisconsin, CP Packaging provides technological solutions for the packaging industry with a special focus on the food industry.
The company developed the VisionPak HFFS machine and was the first in the industry to use advanced adhesive technology to build machine frames.
Founded in 2003, CP Packaging expanded its VisionPak by offering various models, including VP125 and VP190, over the past decade. It also introduced the mid-range VP110-CS to market in 2016.
In addition, the company claims to have pioneered the patented use of belts to transport film through the machine instead of traditional chains.
CP Packaging aims to offer ‘state-of-the-art’ equipment that meets customers’ needs while adhering to ‘world-class’ safety and sanitation standards.
