Packaging machinery developer Viking Masek has introduced a new configuration of its rugged pre-made pouch machines, which will enable manufacturers to receive a pre-made STANDCAP pouch solution.
Earlier, the manufacturers had to depend on the horizontal form fill and seal machine to produce STANDUP pouches.
The new solution is being developed as part of a collaboration between RA Jones and Volpak; pre-made STANDCAP pouch provider Glenroy; pouch dispensing solution provider Aptar; and Viking Masek.
Viking Masek president Rick Leonhard said: “While the STANDCAP pouch has provided manufacturers with a strong competitive advantage, it was previously only available to companies able to purchase and run production on a horizontal form fill seal machine.
“Our new pre-made pouch machine configuration will allow smaller producers, co-packers, and companies new to flexible packaging to implement this exciting packaging solution.”
The new solution can be used to package multiple liquid and paste products for the food and personal care industries, and is capable of filling and sealing up to 80 STANDUP pouches a minute.
