Labels and printed tape producer Jet Label & Packaging has acquired United Label Company in British Columbia, Canada.

The acquisition is estimated to double the size of Jet Label over the next two years by providing additional space and production capacity.

During the next two years, further infrastructure investments are expected to be made at the acquired facility.

United Label’s facility currently operates four conventional flexographic presses which range between 7in-10in in width and have three to eight station colour capabilities.

The facility is also equipped with other slitters, rewinders, finishing systems, and inspection systems.

The company’s 54,000ft2 Edmonton facility operates two HP Indigo Digital presses along with 12 conventional flexographic presses ranging in width from 6in–20in and three to ten colour station capabilities.

At its facility, the company manufactures labels and printed tape for multiple industries such as food, beverage, grocery stores, consumer packaged goods, pharmaceuticals and other industrial applications.

Besides Edmonton, Jet Label also operates another manufacturing facility in Vancouver.

The acquisition of United Label Company is expected to expand mass-market retail sector of Jet Label.
