Germany-based Feldmuehle is set to present its matt, high-white solid bleached sulphate (SBS) board, VivaCard, which can be used in various packaging applications.
The packaging board will be displayed at the upcoming Cosmetic Business event, to be held in Munich, Germany, next month.
Suitable for use in the packaging of perfumes, cosmetic and other elegant products, the VivaCard graphical board has a silky smooth, matt feel.
The board's high-white surface can be used to print various designs and finishes ranging from hot foil, cold foil and blind stamping to matt and gloss varnishes and shiny, metallic or holographic special effects.
Made entirely from virgin fibre, VivaCard can be used to produce folding boxes including high-quality shopping bags, covers and folders.
According to Feldmuehle, brand owners can use the board to improve the shelf appearance of their products.

By GlobalDataVivaCard is currently available with coating on either one or two sides and weights ranging from 220g/m² to 410g/m².
Feldmuehle board solutions segment manager Markus Müller said previously: “The expanded basis weight range enables us to meet customer requirements even better.
“In addition to excellent creasing and die-cutting behaviour, the high basis weights offer an excellent MD / CD stiffness ratio, which is particularly important for folding boxes.
“When designing packaging, our customers value not only VivaCard’s reliable convertibility, but especially its unique look and feel, as well as its delta gloss.”
Feldmuehle’s existing range of papers with mineral oil barrier is already in use in dry and fatty foods packaging applications.
