UK-based heat sealing specialist Packaging Automation, in collaboration with Australia’s Perfect Automation, has introduced new tray sealing solution Perfectseal.
The new solution features a machine, packaging and service support, which are available at one month payment basis.
A complete range of biodegradable trays from Perfect Automation and tray sealing machines from Packaging Automation are also being included in Perfectseal.
Additionally, Perfectseal provides an easy means of transitioning into film sealed punnets and trays from clam shell or flow wrapped packs.
Packaging Automation noted that film sealed packs use less packaging than clam shell packs and requires less space during stacking and transportation, offering cost savings.
Films used in sealed packs can be provided in a re-sealable specification to improve hygiene after opening and allow stacking of packs in the fridge.
Packaging Automation further stated that films with micro perforations could also be used to allow produce to breathe when used with fresh cut produce and modified atmosphere packs.
Compatible with different tray materials such as plastic, board, foil and compostable board, Perfectseal enables the sealing of all packaging formats in one single machine.
Packaging Automation currently produces different tray sealing machines, including small machines offering speeds of up to 30 packs per minute.
The company’s Revolution range of machines uses a new technology that allows a single lane sealer to pack up to 200 units per minute.
At present, Packaging Automation provides tray sealers or pot fillers for use in various applications in the food industry such as fresh produce packing and others.
