US-based company EndFlex Packaging Machinery has introduced a new turnkey system that can be used to pick, place, and seal bottles into cartons.
The automated packaging system is an integrated solution that includes a Kartnr vertical cartoning machine and a PKR-Delta robotic pick and place cell.
The first step involves using the Kartnr vertical cartoning machine to produce chip-board cartons.
Later, these cartons are shifted to the PKR-Delta robotic pick and place cell, where the bottles are oriented and inserted into the requisite cartons.
After the bottles have been loaded, the carton is conveyed to the carton closing system and then moved to a case packing machine.
The system has the capability to fill a maximum of 50 cartons per minute and is designed to be adaptable to various application needs.

By GlobalDataIt offers the flexibility to package single, twin or three-pack bottles while also enabling rotation as required.
The system comes with standard features, including a vision-guided Delta robot, toolless carton changeover, heavy-duty stainless steel frame, end effector for each stock-keeping unit, Omron controls, and easily accessible recipes for rapid changeover.
According to the company, Delta robotics offered significantly greater flexibility for loading bottles with unique spouts that require orientation, which is not possible with conventional gravity-fed systems.
