US-based X-Rite and its subsidiary Pantone have collaborated with Finland’s Flexolahti to expand the Pantone certified printer programme in the Nordic region.
Flexolahti produces printing plates for the paper and corrugated board packaging industry.
The Pantone programme is a certification process that examines a printer’s operations from design to the pressroom.
The process takes ink recipes and formulation into consideration to ensure an accurate and standardised production process from start to finish.
Flexolahti will provide commercial printers, packaging converters, training and tools under the new collaboration.
X-Rite and Flexolahti are expected to enhance colour management for the Nordic packaging production sector.
