Shorr Packaging has opened a new distribution and warehouse facility in Atlanta, Georgia, US.
The new 50,000ft² facility creates a permanent presence for existing customers with facilities in the south-east region and provides improved delivery options for Shorr to expand and succeed in that market.
It features a corrugated design and an equipment demo room, and accommodates the sales and customer service teams.
Shorr Packaging operations corporate director Darrin Peterson said: "With our new location and larger footprint, we’ll provide improved service levels, decreased freight transit times, and have the flexibility to grow and expand to meet our customer’s future requirements."
The company plans to consolidate both Atlanta locations into the new facility, which will serve as a regional hub for Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, and Louisiana.
Shorr Packaging president Craig Funkhouser said: "Our commitment and priority is to improve service for our customers by increasing inventory and product availability in this region.
