US-based graphic consumer packaging provider Menasha Packaging is expanding its preprint facility in Neenah, Wisconsin, to create room for a new flexographic printing press.

The expansion will add 45,500ft² to the facility’s existing area of 94,000ft².

The installation of the Bobst Central Impression Flexographic 90SIX printing press comes in response to increasing consumer demand.

"We chose to expand the PrePrint Facility in Neenah in order to maximise efficiencies and optimise our customers’ supply chains."

Expected to become operational in March next year, the press will almost double the company’s capacity for preprinted linerboard orders.

Menasha PrePrint general manager Roger Ver Voort said: "After experiencing exponential demand for Menasha’s flexographic printing services, we chose to expand the PrePrint Facility in Neenah in order to maximise efficiencies and optimise our customers’ supply chains."

Menasha had earlier announced that it bought a second Bobst Central Impression Flexographic 90SIX printing press.
