Scotland-based W&M Watson Packaging has acquired local polythene product distributor Peter Bryson Packaging for an undisclosed amount.
The two companies have been working together for the past year.
The original Watson warehouse in Glasgow, UK, has now doubled in size, providing a storage facility that is spread over an area of approximately 100,000ft².
It will now house Peter Bryson’s machinery and staff, which is expected to rise to 49.
W&M Watson Packaging managing director Chris Kelly said: "We see this as part of a bigger strategy to grow our market share in Scotland."
Peter Bryson Packaging offers a wide range of products, including pallet wrap, polythene sheeting and tubing, adhesive tapes, polythene carrier bags, paper carrier bags and polythene bags.
