UK-based Redsmith Distillery has introduced a line of gin bottles made from 100% recycled glass.
These bottles are said to be 20% lighter than the distillery’s previous packaging and require less energy throughout the manufacturing, handling, and shipping processes.
Additionally, the recycled nature of the bottles helps minimise their environmental impact.
Each bottle features a natural cork stopper topped with wood and is sealed using a recyclable shrink closure.
Redsmith says that the bottle’s ‘greenish-blue’ colour, resulting from recycling, coupled with its short choker neck and ‘occasional bubbles or other perfect imperfections’, add a touch of ‘rustic charm.’
According to the company, the shift to this new packaging solution has also led to a total revamp of the brand.
