Global packaging solutions provider TekniPlex Consumer Products is set to exhibit its sustainable packaging options at the IPPE in Atlanta, US.
During the event, which will take place from 30 January to 1 February 2024, the company will highlight its recycled fibre egg cartons, including the new Fibre ProPlus egg carton solution.
The company will also introduce prototypes of its bifold egg cartons, which are claimed to be made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
These cartons are designed to be more than 15% lighter than traditional trifold PET cartons.
TekniPlex has planned a market rollout of the cartons in the second quarter (Q2) of 2024.
In addition, the company will exhibit its foam polypropylene (PP) trays, suitable for meat and poultry packaging.

The company is also expanding its presence in the fibre egg cartons market with a 200,000ft² moulded fibre production facility in Van Wert, Ohio, US.
The plant, TekniPlex’s eighth such facility, is expected to start operations in Q2 2024.
