Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific, a subsidiary of Amcor, is planning to build a multi-million dollar flexible packaging plant in the Philippines that is expected to become operational in 2016.
When operational, the plant will produce high-performance packaging for a leading multinational consumer brand.

The investment builds on the existing strategic customer partnership with the brand and delivers direct in-country production, which will improve Amcor’s speed-to-market.
Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific president Ralf K. Wunderlich said: “Emerging Asia remains an important focus for Amcor Flexibles, and with 38 plants in eight countries today, our presence in the Asia Pacific region will continue to grow both organically and through acquisitions.
“Our growth is supported by a solid foundation of delivering high-quality, safe and innovative packaging.”
Amcor said that the partnership will enable the packaging company to support growth in the Philippines.
Headquartered in Singapore, Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific offers packaging services for healthcare products, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices and personal and home care products.
The company also provides packaging of fresh foods, such as meat, fish, bread, produce and dairy, processed foods, such as confectionery, snack foods, coffee and ready meals, and wholesale quantities of foods, such as bulk fruits and vegetables, fish, meat and grains.
