Food bags manufacturer Innpack has announced plans to establish packaging operations in Mississippi, US, in a move that will create around 23 new jobs.
As part of its plans, the company acquired a new building in Olive Branch to replace its existing rented factory in Tennessee.
Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant said: "Innpack’s decision to purchase a facility and locate these operations in Olive Branch further strengthens my position that Mississippi is open for business, and our strong business climate encourages new investment and business growth in all areas of the state."
The $2m project has been backed by Mississippi Development Authority for building improvements and one-time relocation costs.
The city of Olive Branch and DeSoto County also provided ad valorem tax exemptions for the project.
Innpack CEO Joshua Ahn said: "With our new manufacturing plant in the city of Olive branch, we are proud to serve safe and strong food packaging bags to US customers right here in the state of Mississippi.
