Spanish paper and cardboard processing technology manufacturer Pasaban has introduced new lines in foil stamping and laser window aperture machinery.
The new machine line will help in increasing production capacity while reducing the need for maintenance.

By using lasers, die-cutting has been rendered unnecessary, which has resulted in a reduction in the job costs related to the packaging and labelling sectors.
The laser technology also provides flexibility for changing the perforation shape or mark at a faster rate without human intervention.
As reported in Packaging Europe, the reduction in the possibility of mechanical failure or uneven wear on the die has also reduced maintenance costs.
The machine allows up to four reels, 36,000m of foil and reel change with splicing in register, curbing the need to stop every time there is a need to change the reel. Time required to change format has also been reduced, as each roll exerts individual pressure on the foil.
The inspection system uses artificial vision technology and carries out verification immediately after application, while the heating cylinder is less complex and requires less maintenance.
The machine’s web cleaning system makes it ready and cleaner for the next stage by removing all undesired particles from the web surface.
