New Jersey contract packaging company Reed-Lane has announced the expansion of its warehouse with a 30% increase in space and the addition of a new bottling line.
Reed-Lane president Patricia Elvin said that the company has made a concerted effort to expand and hone its capabilities in all areas, and a large part of that lies in new equipment installations.
"Our expansion in both production and storage capacity is a result of the overall growth we’ve experienced over the last several years, growth that has seen an increasingly diverse roster of pharmaceutical companies put their trust in Reed-Lane for contract packaging services."
The MPS 48-16 slat filler from Modular Packaging Systems is one of the nine machines on the new bottling line. Equipped with dual dust extraction points, the filler eliminates excessive dust buildup from within the product hopper area.
Other equipment in the new line includes the AU-3 bottle unscrambler, C8 capper and FA6 cap retorquer from Kaps-All Packaging Systems, the Met 30+ metal detector from Lock Inspection Systems and the AM-250 high-speed induction sealer from AutoMate Technologies.
The M-500 tamper evident neck bander from Marburg Industries, the versaline wrap labeler from Quadrel Labeling Systems, the SmartDate 5 thermal transfer printer from Markem-Imaje, the OP 300 label inspection system from Optel Vision, the rotary topserter from MGS Machine and optional sachet or canister desiccant feeding are also included in the equipment.
