The content of the inorganic pigment in the undercoat layer is between 20 to 70 mass % of the total solid content, preferably between 40 to 60 mass %. Fired kaolin and/or silica can be used as the inorganic pigment.
The binding resin in the undercoat layer can be a latex, with a glass transition temperature of -10°C or lower, or even -30°C or lower. At least a styrene-butadiene-based latex can be used as the binding resin.
