The value marked a decrease of 94.05% over the previous month and a drop of 85.7% when compared with the last 12-month average of $1.07bn.

In terms of number of deals, the sector saw a drop of 7.1% over the last 12-month average with 26 deals against the average of 28 deals.

In value terms, Europe led the activity with deals worth $121.25m.

The top five packaging deals accounted for 99.2% of the overall value during October 2020.

The combined value of the top five packaging deals stood at $151.75m, against the overall value of $153m recorded for the month.

2) The $19.15m acquisition of Vacmet India by Vacmet India- Management
