North America extended its dominance for internet of things (IoT) hiring among packaging industry companies in the three months ending May.
The number of roles in North America made up 54.1% of total IoT jobs – up from 42% in the same quarter last year.
That was followed by Asia-Pacific, which saw a 5.1 year-on-year percentage point change in IoT roles.
The figures are compiled by GlobalData, who track the number of new job postings from key companies in various sectors over time. Using textual analysis, these job advertisements are then classified thematically.

That was followed by Brazil (up 4.6 percentage points), China (2.9), and India (2.2).

Some 11.5% of all packaging industry IoT roles were advertised in Leinfelden-Echterdingen (Germany) in the three months ending May.
That was followed by Westminster (United States) with 9.8%, Fairborn (United States) with 8.2%, and Miamisburg (United States) with 8.2%.
