Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations leads by classification in October 2022
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 26.09% in October 2022, a 28.57% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 26.09% in October 2022, marking a 50% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 21.74% in October 2022, a 31.82% drop from September 2022.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects registered a share of 21.74% in October 2022, a 15.38% rise over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in South & Central America’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 78.95% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s packaging industry during October 2022 over previous month.
Amcor posted 10 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered an increase of 150% over the previous month, followed by Procter & Gamble with 8 jobs and a 100% growth. Unilever with 7 IT jobs and Kimberly-Clark with 5 jobs, recorded a 16.67% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while O-I Glass recorded a flat growth with 4 job postings during October 2022.

Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 40.58% share in October 2022, a 9.68% decrease over September 2022. Chile featured next with a 17.39% share, flat growth over the previous month. Costa Rica recorded a 15.94% share, a growth of 120% compared with September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.36%, up by 10.64% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 17.39% share, registered a growth of 9.09% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 7.25% share, flat growth over September 2022.
