South & Central America was the fastest growing region for big data hiring among packaging industry companies in the three months ending April.
The number of roles in South & Central America made up 1.6% of total big data jobs – up from 0.4% in the same quarter last year.
That was followed by Europe, which saw a 1.1 year-on-year percentage point change in big data roles.
The figures are compiled by GlobalData, who track the number of new job postings from key companies in various sectors over time. Using textual analysis, these job advertisements are then classified thematically.

Which countries are seeing the most growth for big data job ads in the packaging industry?
The fastest growing country was Brazil, which saw 0.4% of all big data job adverts in the three months ending April 2021, increasing to 1.6% in the three months ending April this year.
That was followed by China (up 1.1 percentage points), Finland (0.8), and the Netherlands (0.2).
The top country for big data roles in the packaging industry is the United States which saw 84.7% of all roles advertised in the three months ending April.
Which cities are the biggest hubs for big data workers in the packaging industry?
Some 11.8% of all packaging industry big data roles were advertised in Fairborn (United States) in the three months ending April.
That was followed by Westminster (United States) with 9.2%, Columbia (United States) with 8.8%, and Broomfield (United States) with 7.7%.
