Advantis (ADVT) is set to finalise a deal with an unnamed manufacturer and seller to expand its Amster-Can and other packaging business in Colorado, California, US.
Once the deal is signed, the manufacturer will start producing the cans.
ADVT is also preparing to begin production at its Amster-Can canning machine at its headqaurters in California.
The see-through cans featuring childproof lids developed by N2Pack have already received several pre-orders.
Advantis CEO Darren Cherry said: “There were significant barriers to entering the Colorado market in the beginning.
“We’ve developed relationships over time and have now found the perfect licensed manufacturer and seller to partner with.”

By GlobalData“It’s a competitive landscape, and this is the first step toward proving ourselves in the state and further establishing our brand name across the nation.”
Since last September, ADVT has been expanding its Amster-Can business into the US states of Oregon and Nevada with a number of packaging manufacturers.
Cherry further added: “The larger cans and see-through packaging is in high demand, as California’s childproof packaging laws take effect.
“New sizes equal more shelf space, more shelf space equals more revenue per square foot of dispensary. All of our clients recognise the branding and marketing opportunities, and the nitrogen-fresh canning process is part of that marketing story.”
ADVT also plans to order new machines and hire independent contractors to fulfil its expansion goals.
