Altium Packaging Canada, a subsidiary of Consolidated Container Company (CCC), has acquired plastic containers maker Plastique Micron (PMI) and its affiliates for an undisclosed amount.
PMI’s affiliates involved in the deal include IMBC Blowmolding 2014, a maker of blow-moulded plastic bottles, and Action Plastic Products, a speciality packaging manufacturer.
Plastique Micron produces plastic containers for the Eastern Canadian market. It currently operates three plants in Quebec and Ontario and has more than 200 employees.
The company serves various customers across pharmaceutical, nutraceuticals, healthcare, food, industrial chemical, and cosmetics industries.
As part of the deal, Altium Packaging Canada will integrate all three PMI locations into its existing operations. This move is expected to bolster CCC’s Canadian product offering and manufacturing platform.
CCC president and CEO Sean Fallmann said: “This acquisition is the next step in executing our vision of becoming a differentiated packaging solutions provider.

CCC produces a range of rigid plastic packaging solutions to companies in dairy, household chemicals, food / nutraceuticals, industrial /speciality chemicals, water, and beverage / juice segments across North America.
It currently has 60 rigid plastic packaging plants and two recycled resin manufacturing plants with 2,500 employees working across these locations.
