Flexible packaging converter American Packaging (APC) is set to build a new manufacturing plant in Monroe County, New York, US, with an investment of around $170m.
Once completed, the 350,000ft² facility will employ 366 jobs by 2021, with 104 construction positions planned to be added during the construction phase.

APC plans to begin the construction of the new facility by early 2017.
New York's chief economic development agency Empire State Development (ESD) will provide around $14.7m in grants to American Packaging for establishing the facility.
In addition, Rochester Gas and Electric will provide up to $870,000 in grant funding for electric and gas infrastructure of the plant.
Monroe County, through County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency (COMIDA), will also offer tax exemption benefits to APC’s new facility.
American Packaging president and CEO Peter Schottland said: "The decision to invest such a significant project scale into New York State was a complex one indeed.
“In the end, three factors led us to this exciting announcement. Firstly, the quality of the work ethic in New York is much like that of the Midwest, full of great people who deeply care about the well-being of their company.
“Our current APC families working in New York are second to none and finally the Cuomo administration fought aggressively to get us to make this investment."
Founded in 1902, APC is specialised in flexographic and rotogravure printing, multi-ply extrusion as well as adhesive lamination of film, paper, and foil, and pouch and bag fabrication.
