Foils, laminates and holographic materials provider API Group has acquired Hazen Paper Company’s paperboard lamination facilities and business in Osgood, Indiana, US, for an undisclosed sum.
The deal covers commercial and production assets of the Osgood based lamination facility, as well as its employees who will be transferred to API.
Established in 1925, Hazen is involved in the paper conversion business.
Following the sale, the company plans to focus on its core business of custom holography and specialist paper conversion in its facilities located in Massachusetts, US.
API Group CEO Dino Kiriakopoulos said: “The acquisition is part of our strategy to focus on brand enhancement solutions for the packaging market and it enables us to provide a combined foils and laminate offering to our global customers.
“The addition of an established US Lamination business with a pedigree in key sectors is very welcome.

The company produces and distributes a number of packaging solutions, including foils, laminates and holographics to various consumer goods companies and printed media worldwide.
The group currently has 13 locations across Europe, America and Asia.
API Group recently sold its security holographic business to OpSec Security Group in order to focus on the company’s core brand enhancement offerings for the packaging market.
