Glass container producer Ardagh Group, Glass – North America has expanded its Ardagh Direct programme across the US.
A division of Ardagh Group, the company caters to the food and beverage industries.
The Ardagh Direct programme was initially launched for wineries West of the Rockies last year.
According to the company, the expansion move will provide North America-based food and beverage companies with an option to purchase glass bottles and jars directly from Ardagh Group, Glass – North America.
Ardagh Group North American glass chief commercial officer Alex Robertson said: “With dedicated sales teams and support offices in St. Louis, Philadelphia and Napa, California, customers can expect a high level of attention and responsiveness, as well as flexibility in ordering.
“With a wide range of glass bottle and jar options that come with buying directly from a US manufacturer, the Ardagh Direct team has the resources to accommodate customers’ unique requests.”

By GlobalDataThe company also noted that food and beverage firms can purchase from a range of American-made glass bottles and jars that come in different sizes, colours and styles, with the flexibility to order less than truckload (LTL) quantities.
Earlier this month, Ardagh Group revealed its plan to permanently close its glass container production facility in Milford, Massachusetts.
Employing 250 people, the facility is expected to close on or after 31 March.
The group’s other glass facilities in North America will serve affected customers.
The decision was taken in view of decreasing demand in the North American mass beer market.
