Ogeu has partnered with Ardagh Metal Packaging for the large-scale production of cans.
Ogeu marketing director Mathieu Lignac said: “Cans are modern, convenient and an ecological choice, which is why we see this investment in beverage cans as a hugely positive step forward.
“Considering all Ardagh’s experience, they were the natural partner for us as we move into this exciting new market.”
Ardagh Metal Packaging sales director Dirk Schwung said: “We are thrilled to enter this partnership with a renowned group like Ogeu.
“It’s gratifying to see this major player make such a definitive commitment to Ardagh cans, now and for the future.”
The investment is in line with Ogeu’s commitment to prioritising the use of cans as a packaging option across its brands.
Production at the facility started in April, supplying cans across French supermarkets, other domestic retailers and some brands for home delivery.
The company plans to export products to certain other countries and international markets in the future.
