By GlobalDataBamboo is a recyclable, biodegradable and compostable grass material. It is the single fastest-growing plant, fully grown within three to five years, versus 30-50 years for trees. It thrives in depleted soil and retains soil moisture, encouraging re-growth, generating more oxygen and removing more carbon dioxide from the air than trees. Additionally, it requires no pesticides and prevents deforestation by eliminating the need to cut down trees.
Given this inherent sustainability, bamboo is a highly useful material for companies to use for a wide variety of products and packaging such as beverage and food containers or hygiene products such as toothbrushes and now tissue paper.
