Following the acquisition, Berlin Packaging will retain all of Panvetri’s employees and locations.
The company will also aim to help Panvetri expand its product offerings using Berlin Packaging’s local presence and workforce.
Panvetri CEO Alessandro Pantaleo said: “We are proud to join Berlin Packaging and bring our experience in southern Italy to the rest of the company.
“We are also keen to expand our product portfolio with Berlin Packaging’s unique shapes and sizes, which will now be available to our customers.”
Panvetri is the 20th company acquired by Berlin Packaging in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) since 2016 and its first acquisition in the region this year.
Last month, Berlin Packaging purchased Canadian glass bottle and closure distributor United Bottles & Packaging in an effort to expand its operations in the Americas.
United Bottles & Packaging supplies bottles and closures for food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including packaging for wine, spirits, beer and cider.
The company also has a sustainability programme that collects, disposes of and recycles used beverage containers.
